Innovation at Sony USA
Sony employs more than 80% of their 200 designers in Japan. Only a dozen or so happen to be based in suburban Los Angeles. However, the US has become a key incubator delivering new products and services worldwide.
“In the old days, instead of embracing an innovative product such as the Bravia Link, Sony’s warring factions might have deep-sixed it. That’s because the technology could easily be adapted to deliver games and other content, which might cannibalize sales of Sony’s Ps, uudio receivers, and even the PlayStation3″.
