America’s Most Innovative Company: Apple
Fortune’s most innovative companies in 2007:
1 Apple; 2 Google ; 3 FedEx ; 4 Genentech ; 5 Nike ; 6 Whole Foods Market ; 7 Procter & Gamble ; 8 Network Appliance; 9 Herman Miller ; 10 Starbucks
These also are recent innovation rankings:

Apple has managed to couple two fieds of study involving human factors: “usability in product design” and “consumer behavior” in product marketing. Many companies happen to excel at either one or the other, while Apple’s strategy combines them in what has become a 1+1=3 type of value proposition.
Blogs of interest: Bruce Nussbaum’s blog talks about “Why Apple Is No 1 In Innovation“ and Dave Caolo took time to list the “Top 10 Apple Flops“, which gives examples of Apple products which did not become a market success.

A very good job !!!!
