Hong Kong’s Innovation Festival
“Themed “Let’s Innovate… For a New Era“, the Innovation Festival 07 (…) aims at enhancing public awareness on Hong Kong’s achievements in innovation, technology and design, as well as their importance for our future”.
“Through nurturing the interests and talent of the younger generation in these areas, the Festival facilitates the development of Hong Kong into a regional hub of innovation and technology services”.
“Apart from the Innovation Expo 07, one of HKSAR’s 10th anniversary major celebrations programs, there are roadshows and design exhibitions held in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories”.

The Innovation Expo opens today. This is a five-day event featuring 100 exhibitors encompassing:
- universities,
- research and development organizations,
- industry support groups,
- technology and design enterprises,
- technology education firms.
The event’s schedule includes twenty seminars and 50 DesignTech workshops. The nine provinces of the Pan-Pearl River Delta, and Macau, will be present at the exhibition’s Mainland zone. Some activities will include live webcasts available at: http://www.vcast.tv/innovationexpo2007/
Microsoft sponsored a public survey
The 10 Most Wanted Technology Breakthroughs previously identified at the festival’s roadshow based on public input are now put to the public vote, this current poll being sponsored by Microsoft. Here is the list:
